European Cuisine – Vegetable Fried Rice

When mixed with vegetables, SBK rice comes to life. The taste is majestic and it practically melts in your mouth. See the recipe below:


  • 5 cups of cooked SBK rice, cooled
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 2 tablespoons soya sauce
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 large carrot, finely chopped
  • Snipped chives to garnish


  • Heat the oil in a large frying pan. Add the soya sauce and eggs, stirring constantly until the egg forms into the size of peas. Set aside.
  • Using the same pan, fry the onions until they are transparent.
  • Add the carrots and the peas and cook for a good 3 minutes. Stir in the rice and cooked egg until evenly combined. Cook for a further 2 minutes, stirring continually, then serve topped with the chives.

American Cuisine – South-western Rice

South-western rice can be a satisfying side dish or a main course with addition of grilled chicken. This mouth-watering meal is easy to prepare, using simple ingredients.


  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, diced
  • 1 red pepper, diced
  • 1 cup sweetcorn
  • 1 cup canned black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1½ teaspoon turmeric
  • 1½ teaspoon cumin
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 cup of SBK rice
  • 1 of chicken broth


  • Rinse the rice thoroughly and soak for 15 minutes.
  • Heat the oil in a non-stick frying pan. Add the chopped onion, green pepper, red pepper and cook for 3 minutes. Then add the garlic and cook for a further two minutes, stirring often. Add the sweetcorn and black beans and cook for a further 2 minutes.
  • Drain the rice and add to the pan with the turmeric and cumin, stir to combine, then add the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  • Cover the rice and reduce the heat to a simmer. Keep the rice covered for 15 minutes or until tender.

Spanish Cuisine – Salsa rice

The original recipe of rice was from Spain. This is one on the most special dish for the Spanish people. People who have tried this dish, Said that they loved the aroma and the taste of the rice as soon as they made. The preparation time of this dish is 20 minutes and can make up to 6 servings. The ingredients and directions are very simple which can stated as follows:


  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • ¼ chopped onion
  • Green pepper, diced
  • 1 red chilli, finely chopped
  • 3 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • 1 cup of SBK rice
  • 2 cups water


  • Heat the oil in a skillet and fry the onion and green pepper for 2 minutes, stirring often.
  • Add SBK rice and then add turmeric, cumin, tomatoes, salt and water.
  • Stir for 5 minutes, then reduce the heat and cover for 20 minutes.
